Post-doctoral researcher
Yılmaz is a postdoctoral researcher at VUB. He paused his mechanical engineering studies (METU, Turkey) to pursue philosophy, earning BA and MA degrees at KU Leuven. After a year studying film at KASK (Ghent), he completed an MSc in educational studies and a PhD in social psychology at KU Leuven. His research interests include the self, SES, acculturation, social mobility, and historical materialism.
