
Post-doctoral researcher
Ebru Isikli is a researcher in the sociology of work, focusing on labour control and the labour movement. Her research spans both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and has been applied in academic and private sector contexts.
She obtained her PhD in 2017 from the Modern Turkish History Institute at Bogazici University. Her dissertation examined the changing employment regime in Turkey through the practices of private employment agencies, highlighting how the recruitment industry contributes to the individualisation of employment.
From 2018 to 2021, she taught undergraduate courses in Modern Turkish History at Bogazici University, Galatasaray University, and Isik University. Since 2021, she has been working as a researcher on large-scale survey projects at University College Dublin (UCD).
